4 Critical Standards To Demand From Your PT Provider
What It Takes To Provide Excellence In Physical Therapy May Surprise You...

 |
Skill: It is reasonable for you to expect your medical providers to be highly skilled in treating your special problem. Unfortunately, not all physical therapy treatment is the same. Research clearly shows that programs that utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques and encourage patients to take an active role in their recovery are superior to programs that employ only exercise and passive treatment like hot and cold packs.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, patient education is a significant part of the treatment process. After the initial evaluation, you will receive a detailed explanation summarizing the findings of the evaluation as well as the recommended treatment program. Our goal is to empower you, the patient, with the tools necessary to bring your health back under your control and to prevent future problems.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, we employ licensed therapists who are at the top of the profession in their clinical skills. We further ensure that we are staying on the cutting edge of available treatment technologies and advancements by taking part in bi-weekly staff in-service training and by participating in multiple continuing education seminars over the course of the year.

 |
Satisfaction: In response to continued pressure from insurance companies, many PT providers are forced to spend less time with each patient in order to increase the number of patients seen in a day. Oasis Physical Therapy recognizes that this can greatly impact the quality of care and the patient experience. Your satisfaction is our top priority.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, you will work one-on-one with our skilled, licensed practitioners on EVERY visit.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, waiting is viewed as a major inconvenience-unacceptable to you and to us. Time spent in the reception area should not exceed 5 minutes, except in rare situations. A therapist’s time is not worth more than yours. In fact, if waiting exceeds 15 minutes from the scheduled appointment, we will offer you a Starbuck’s Gift Card.
|

 |
Safety: Your physical therapist has a responsibility to safely provide the latest evidence based treatment. This means having a thorough understanding of the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment options to recognize which problems fall within the scope of practice and those which require referral to a medical doctor.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, we believe that although a physical therapist doesn’t diagnose medical conditions, he is responsible to provide the latest screening tests to determine if you should seek additional medical care or diagnostic testing.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, we take great care to maintain our relationships with as many medical providers in our community as possible. When you begin treatment at one of our clinics, we immediately establish open lines of communication with your physician to facilitate proper collaborative care. If you do not have a physician, we can refer you to a professional who may be best suited to help you. (See our therapist’s bios here)

 |
Service (Community Values & Our Mandate To Provide Care): Unfortunately, insurance companies sometimes dictate where they want you to receive medical care. At Oasis Physical Therapy , we are not satisfied with this approach. Our goal is to remove all possible barriers that might impede you from receiving the care that you need and deserve. It is our practice to make sure that no patient is turned away from receiving care due to insurance problems.
-
Oasis Physical Therapy is in network with most major medical plans including Worker’s Comp claims and motor vehicle accidents. Flexible payment plans are available for those with special circumstances.
-
Whether you come to our clinic with or without a referral, the physical therapist at Oasis Physical Therapy will communicate with your physician to facilitate collaborative care. A referral is not necessary for treatment unless required by your insurance plan.
-
At Oasis Physical Therapy, we believe that our responsibility to the community extends beyond the walls of our clinics. For this reason, we participate in free health clinics and local charity events to promote the health of our community. Additionally, we take an active role in the training of future physical therapists by offering clinical internships.
